Fun Facts
Did you know that tropical rainforests are becoming endangered
because people are destroying the tropical rainforests for wood, land and food?
It all started 420 million years ago and plants were dominated in the past during the Silurian period. Over the years, civilized people took the land to settle and adapt to the environment. The first forests were dominated by giant horsetails, club mosses, and ferns that stood up to 40 feet in length. As the Earth was evolving, in the Paleozoic period, gymnosperms came about and were the first step in the making of tropical rainforests. Because of this, the creation started with mammals, insects and birds. Today, about one- third of Earth’s land area contains forests. Sadly, forests are dying out due to pollution, deforestation and industrial problems that were brought from humans and effects of life everyday and maybe, just maybe, end God’s creatures that were brought to us for a better and healthier life.
